Russian polyolefins producer Stavrolen has halted production of polypropylene (PP) following a forced shutdown due to technical problems, according to its customers.
The company shut production from 19 November and no restart date has been announced yet.

Stavrolen’s annual PP production capacity is 120,000 tonnes.
Overall production of propylene polymers exceeded 92,300 tonnes in the first 10 months of 2018, up by 9% year on year.
